One of the best American metal bands - they put to shame their European counterparts in style and genre (bands like Dimmu Borgir). The only 'flaw' that any VS album has ever had was the production being flat and compressed sounding to an extraordinary degree, but it doesn't matter. Phenomenal album. Pleeeeeeassse release Psychotic Sculpture and BTCE on BC! This album is exceedingly good. Quite underrated.

The first 30 seconds of "Revenge by Fire" convinced me to get the whole album! It is a face-melting blend of speed and black metal, reminiscent of Hellripper! KVAEN is a Swedish solo project much like Hellripper but many known guest musicians helped J. Björnfot in his endeavor. Altogether it is really a solid debut album, I loved the melodies and the pace changes in the second half too, ending with a "calm" instrumental one. Well-done!!

Fantastic album, which over the years has become IMPOSSIBLE to find (the 2006 version) - even to pirate it! It's great to have this, but I have one complaint: the 2006 version of Invisible Kingdom had one of my favorite guitar solos ever, and it's just not anywhere near as good or compelling on this version. A real shame. Still quite glad to have this. Please release Psychotic Sculpture and Beyond the Cursed Eclipse on BC!
